Why bother with the complexities of Second Life? After all before getting proficient at using the SL environment there is a steep learning curve to tackle (most likely the reason why the average life of an avatar is below 3 months, or so they say). And why go to a different platform if all you need can be right on your desktop?
Enters Weblin... a German startup bringing you your avatar right to your desktop. While you're surfing you meet the people who are also on Weblin or in your Weblin-network: on your desktop... Now we're talking: suddenly you're not alone on the web anymore, people are all around you and before you know you're engaging in a discussion... Makes you think, doesn't it?
